Structural Vibration Solutions strengthens
the European naval sector

Due to our strong expertise within vibration analysis, we have been invited to take part of the dTHOR project, which is financed by the European Defence Fund. The goal is to develop the next generation of a predictive Ship Structural Health Monitoring system.

The consortium behind the “Digital Ship Structural Health Monitoring” (dTHOR) project consists of 35 highly competent and central actors in the defense and research industry from 11 countries within the EU.

This project will focus on developing a system looking towards the improvement and modernization of the European digital capabilities in the naval sector. The system is going to be based on innovative utilization of large amounts of load and response measurements from robust and advanced sensors, a digital framework complying with recognised open standards for data exchange, and hybrid analysis and modeling which combines physics-based and data-driven models.

Improvement and modernization of the European digital capabilities in the naval sector
We look forward to collaborating with the different companies and actors within this project and contributing to developing a highly efficient, accurate and reliable ship’s health monitoring system based on a commonly agreed framework and publicly available standards. With the dTHOR consortium we look towards an improvement and modernization of the European digital capabilities in the naval sector.

The “Digital Ship Structural Health Monitoring” (dTHOR) project was selected among the EDF 2021 European Projects funded by the European Commission, with a duration of three years.

Structural Vibration Solutions has developed advanced software for Modal Analysis and Ambient Vibration Analysis over the last two decades. Our software is used e.g. for vibration measurements in buildings, bridges, wind turbines, etc. Via our solutions, you can be notified in time if changes occur in the underlying construction. Our expertise within these types of measurements and our strong experience is precisely the reason why we have been invited to participate in the dTHOR project.
