What's new |
ARTeMIS
Extractor
Handy
version 4.1
offers the
follow news
compared to the
previous
version.
Preliminary
Modal Analysis -
Automatic mode
estimation right
after data
upload.
A
new automatic mode estimation feature
is now available in all versions of ARTeMIS
Extractor 4.1. This feature makes it easier than ever
before to perform operational modal analysis.
No matter if you have small or extreme channel
counts, pure ambient excitation or excitation
mixed with harmonic signals, the new algorithm
provides fast and reliable results of natural
frequencies, damping ratios and mode shapes in a
matter of seconds.

Automatic
Mode Estimation
in FDD and EFDD
- New Modal
Indicators
In the Frequency
Domain
Decomposition
(FDD) and
Enhanced
Frequency Domain
Decomposition
(EFDD)
techniques, you
are now able to
perform an
automatic mode
estimation by a
single click on
a button.

New Modal
Indicators in
FDD and EFDD.
After a few
second this
features will
find all the
most
well-excited
modes in a
user-specified
frequency band.
On top of
presenting the
modes two new
indicators are
displayed
helping you to
assess the
quality of the
estimates. The
governing
indicator in the
automatic
feature is the
Modal Coherence
indicator
function, shown
in light blue
above. The
frequency band
being dominated
by a certain
mode is now
indicated with a
Modal Domain
indicator shown
in light green
above.

What's New
in ARTeMIS
Extractor
4.0
New
Graphical
User
Interface |
The graphical
user interface
of ARTeMIS
Extractor
version 4.0 is
completely
re-designed. The
Control Panel
has been
replaced by
local toolbars
and zoom
controls. The
graphical
displays has
been updated
with new colors
and legends. All
windows can now
dynamically be
changed from a
"tapped"
apperance to a
"Splitted"
apprearance
instead. The
name "Data Set"
has now been
replaced with
"Test Setup" to
align with
ARTeMIS
Testor.

New Graphical
User Interface
Easier Signal
Processing - The
Signal
Processing
Control dialog
The Signal
Processing
configuration,
processing and
status have all
been collected
in a single
dialog called
Signal
Processing
Control. The
Test Trial
Configuration
option is now
replaced with an
option to
re-load original
uploaded
measurements.

The Signal
Processing
Control
Manage the modes
with the new
Mode Organizer
The new Mode
Organizer is the
place where
modes are
managed. Here
you get a
complete
overview of all
estimated modes
and imported
modes in the
project. Export
to files, delete
bad estimates
record AVI
movies, or use
the Slave Nodes
Equations editor
to add or edit
slave node
relations
between measured
and unmeasured
DOF's.

The Mode
Organizer
Frequency Domain
Decomposition -
"Keep Adding
Modes"
The Frequency
Domain
Decomposition
editor is now
much more
flexible.
Animation and
Peak Picking can
be done
simulatanously
and adding new
modes is made
much faster with
the new "Keep
Adding Mode"
feature.

The Frequency
Domain
Decomposition
Editor
Enhanced
Frequency Domain
Decomposition -
Removing
Harmonics
The Enhanced
Frequency Domain
Decomposition
editor now comes
with a powerful
option for
detecting
harmonics in the
data and remove
their influence
on the mode
estimation. The
option clearly
makes this
patented
algorithm even
more stronger.

Enhanced
Frequency Domain
Decomposition -
The harmonic
shown in green
no longer
affects the mode
estimation.
Stochastic
Subspace
Identification -
Now Integrated
with Select &
Link
The Stochastic
Subspace Editor
is now much
simpler to
manage, and the
corresponding
Select & Link
Modes Editor is
now an integral
part of the SSI
editor. The
Stabilization
Diagram now
includes the SVD
Subspace Diagram
and the Select &
Link editor now
comes with the
"Keep Adding
Mode" feature.
Animation of
modes can now be
performed side
by side with
Select & Link,
making it much
easier to edit
modes. A new
Estimate dialog
makes it much
more flexible to
choose what
models to
estimate and
optionally allow
similar
selection and
estimation in
all other Test
Setups.
