Operational Modal Analysis of a Canadian Dam
The
measurements and
analysis presented here are
performed by Professor
Carlos Ventura,
University of British
Columbia, Vancouver,
Canada.
This
case consider
measurements conducted
on a Canadian dam. The
dam is 130 m long and 58
m high, and built in
1930. The measurements
were conducted using an
8-channel measurement
system. The sensors were
Kinemetrics Episensor,
forced balanced
accelerometers. Modal
analysis was conducted
with ARTeMIS Extractor
Pro.

Below
you can download an AVI
movie animating the mode
showed above. The mode
has been estimated with
the Enhanced Frequency
Domain Decomposition
estimator available in
the ARTeMIS Extractor
Handy and ARTeMIS
Extractor Pro versions.
