Vibration Testing of a Bell Tower
The
measurements and
analysis presented here are
performed by Dr. Reto
Cantieni,
RCI Dynamics,
Switzerland.
This
case consider
measurements conducted
on the bell tower of the
St. Peter & Paul church
in Zürich, Switzerland.
The measurements were
conducted using a LMS
Pimento data acquisition
system. The sensors were
PCB 93B31 accelerometers.
Modal analysis was
prepared with ARTeMIS
Testor Light and
conducted with ARTeMIS
Extractor Pro.

Below
you can download an AVI
movie animating the mode
showed above. The mode
has been estimated with
the Enhanced Frequency
Domain Decomposition
estimator available in
the ARTeMIS Extractor
Handy and ARTeMIS
Extractor Pro versions.
