Automatic Mode Estimation for SSI |
Along with the new revolutionary feature called Crystal Clear
SSI ARTeMIS Extractor Pro features Automatic Mode Estimation for SSI.
Try it today by downloading the 30 days evaluation version of ARTeMIS
Extractor Pro. Just install it and run one of the Example Files using the
Preliminary Modal Analysis feature. This will demonstrate the efficiency and
ease-of-use of Crystal Clear SSI and Automatic Mode Estimation for SSI in a
matter of minutes. Download

Automatic Mode Estimation for SSI searches the stable modes in the SSI
Stabilization Diagram. All stable modes of all estimated models of all test
setups are included in the search, and the result is modal estimates of natural
frequencies, damping ratios and modes shapes of high accuracy. The estimates are
presented in terms of both mean values and standard deviations as seen below.

Even in the case of closely spaced modes and multiple test setups, the Automatic
Mode Estimation for SSI works, as shown below very three extremely close modes
are estimated correctly for a project with 4 test setups.

The four test setups have two common references, and the Automatic Mode
Estimation for SSI correctly finds all closely space modes between 1 Hz and 2
Hz.
The Automatic Mode Estimation for SSI feature works with the traditional SSI
algorithms. However, the optimal performance is obtained by combining it with
the new Crystal Clear SSI algorithms giving
extremely clear stabilization diagrams.
Major Benefits of SSI in General
No matter if the new features are in use or not, there are some technical
benefits of SSI compared to other commercially available parametric model
estimators working in the frequency domain and relying on the estimation of
half-power spectral densities.
